NBC has set Feb 6, 2014, as Jay Leno’s last night

as Tonight Show host.  That’s just ahead of the Winter

Olympics, which would allow Jimmy Fallon to get some

extra attention during the games……ABC will air the first

Disney-Pixar special for television, Toy Story of Terror,

on Wed 10/16 from 8-8:30PM.  Tom Hanks and Tim Allen

reprise their roles as Woody and Buzz……Amber Tamblyn,

formerly of Joan of Arcadia, will have a recurring role as

Charlie Harper’s illegitimate daughter on Two and a Half

Men this fall.  The 11th season of 2-1/2

premieres on Thurs 9/26 at 9:30PM……

CBS continues to use comedy reruns

to fill in holes on its summer schedule.

2-1/2 gets an extra airing at 8PM on

Thurs 8/29 and Mike & Molly will air an

episode at 8PM on Sat 8/31……Despite

being blacked out on Time Warner

systems in some major markets, Face

the Nation was the leading Sunday

Morning talk show on 8/4, with 2.83

million total viewers and 782,000 25-

54s.  ABC’s This Week was second,

NBC’s Meet the Press was third and Fox News Sunday

trailed.  It should be noted though that cable replays of Fox

News Sunday brought total delivery up from 1.15 million

on broadcast to 2.114 million……TV Week notes that while

interest in morning shows has been focussed on Good

Morning America and the Today Show, it’s actually

Univision’s Despierta America (Wake Up America), that

has been growing the most.  It’s up 26% season-to-date in

18-49s, now averaging 441,000 viewers, while the English-

language morning shows are generally flat or down.
